I've been lazy today, bad lazy. I don't know why I do that, and so often too. I hate it. I sit at the computer and find 100 stories to write about and then I end up going and watching YouTube videos of cats and kids and drunk squirrels. And read Gawker and MSNBC and TMZ.
Seriously, I'm a procrastinator with a lazy bone. No lie, I've been at my computer since 5 this morning and I've posted exactly 0 posts. Well except for this one now.
But you know what helps lazy procrastinators with too much time on their hands?
Stuff like this.
David Nail posted a video back on the 15th of him covering Adele's song Someone Like You. Do you know what I've been doing for the last hour? Listening to David Nail sing Someone Like You.
I can't stop. I honestly cannot for the life of me stop listening. So now that I've listened to the song like 47 times, I figured I needed to post this video for the two or three of you who might not have already heard it on the other blogs who have also posted it today.
The only thing that I hate about this song is that this cover was probably just a passion project for David and will never play on the radio.
This needs to play on the radio!
But no one listens to me so I'll just have to listen to it another 40 or so times to get it out of my system.
You've won a new spot in my heart, David Nail, and all you had to do was sing a British girl's heartbreak song. You have found my kryptonite.
Usually it's Jennifer and Kristian having fun on their videos, but in this recent video Sugarland's crew got to have all the fun lip syncing to Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe.
This summer movie season is already flying by so fast!
We've already seen the release of some of the year's biggest blockbusters, like The Avengers, but there are a few more coming down the pipeline. One of those is totally going to be Total Recall.
The television marketing campaign is underway and we've got another short preview (above) of Colin Farrell fighting for his life after he discovers he is not who he thinks he is.
This movie isn't just relying on Colin's seksi star power either. Leading ladies Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel will be duking it out in the remake of the 1990 science fiction thriller.
Total Recall hits theaters on August 3, will U be at one watching?
It's caused by parasites transmitted to humans by blood-sucking insects.
Gross.
But even worse, it has been named “the new AIDS of the Americas” in a new editorial published in PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
Apparently it's almost mirroring the early spread of HIV, so obviously that's not good. But the similarities don't stop there.
Chagas also has a long incubation time, like AIDS. It's also hard or impossible to cure.
Right now it infects an estimated eight million people in the hemisphere, mostly in Bolivia, Mexico, Colombia and Central America. But more than 300,000 of the infected live in the United States!
It can even be transmitted through blood transfusion, and results in enlarged hearts and/or intestines which eventually can fail or burst.
That means the death is sudden, and sometimes without warning.
The only treatment available involves harsh drugs taken for up to three months and works only if the disease is caught early.
The drugs are not as expensive as AIDS drugs, though, but the disease is starting in the poorer regions.

Little Big Town recently released the new video for their homage to the party boat, Pontoon, and today People.com let us in on a little secret about the video.
Blake Shelton makes an appearance, although even he wasn't aware of the honor.
Blake makes a brief appearance in the video via his PEOPLE Country's hottest guys issue, the one that had him on the cover. Karen Fairchild (the brunette) tells People.com how the magazine made it onto the video.
"Kimberly and I were picking out what we'd be doing on a pontoon and we'd be reading PEOPLE [and] drinking a beverage." Fairchild says.
"I can't wait for Blake and [wife] Miranda [Lambert] to see it," she tells PEOPLE. "They're good friends of ours, and they don't know about the magazine in the video."

Martina McBride sang the National Anthem this weekend at the Indy 500 where the Big Machine Records sponsored car won for the second year in a row. The race actually had another country association -- the driver of the winning Big Machine Records car, Dario Franchitti, is married to none other than Ashley Judd, Wynonna's actress sister.
You can read the official press release below and listen to Martina sing the National Anthem in a video after the jump.
Country music's leading record label, Big Machine Records, earned its second Indy 500 championship on Sunday when IndyCar driver Dario Franchitti raced into Victory Lane for the third time in his career. Big Machine Records sponsored Franchitti who sported the Big Machine Records logo on his helmet and firesuit. The race, which aired nationally on ABC, is known as the second most watched sporting event in the United States each year.
The win comes just one year after Big Machine Records sponsored the late Dan Wheldon's winning car at the 2011 Indy 500.
Taylor Swift has made a habit (and millions of dollars) out of writing songs about the men and boys in her life who have hurt her, double crossed her, and basically been mean in one way or another.
Yeah, she writes happy, fairy-talesque songs too, but it's the getting even ones that get noticed.
Now here's the official music video for a very innocent looking 16-year-old Payton Rae singing with gusto about a cheating boyfriend, who I also assume is a 16-ish year old teenager, in a song called Stomp the Fire Out.
She sounds like a young Kellie Pickler to me. Cute.
So were cheating boyfriends at 16 always an issue or is this a new norm for the new millenium? I can't remember having issues with such things at 16, but then maybe I was fortunate or just clueless.
I'm starting to think that the country singers out there who are parents to teenagers need to start putting out how-to songs to teach teenage boys how to be faithful and nice and quit breaking little girls hearts to counteract this trend of teen girls singing about cheating -- at least until they're old enough to deal with it like an adult....you know, by drinking.
You can find out more about Payton Rae on her website.
So, did you hear that the Pistol Annie's very own Holler Annie, aka Angaleena Presley, got married last week? I'm sure you did, but if you didn't she got married to Miranda Lambert's tour manager, Jordan Powell, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on May 22.
Miranda posted to the group's Twitter the above romantic photo along with: Holler got hitched, y'all! Congrats Angaleena we love you!
Awww, congrats to Angaleena.
Well, before Ms. Holler became Mrs. Holler, she gave an interview to Nashville Scene's Nashville Cream section, touching on everything from how broke she was when the Pistol Annie's gig came along:
Personally, my story, I was going through a divorce, I was broke. I did not know how I was gonna feed my baby. I was right in the thick of it. I bought a house when I got pregnant, and it was right at the end of the ridiculous housing market. So the market crashed, and then here I am stuck with this house that’s worth way less than what we paid for it. You know, I was just panicked. So there’s a song on our record “Housewife’s Prayer.” That was me sitting on the couch, thinking about burning my house down. I was literally trying to figure out, “OK, how can I do this and not have the insurance people know it?” It’s just desperate times right now. That was just my take on it. And there’s so many other people who are going through that same thing. I’m just glad that they got it and they understood that I’m just trying to make it just like anybody else. I have the platform to sing about it, and I’m glad to do it.
to how she hopes country music fans don't turn on the Pistol Annies like they did on The Dixie Chicks:
We love the Dixie Chicks. We love their music, and we’re obviously inspired by them. But, you know, I think we’re just gonna push on through and keep being honest, [laughs] and hopefully there won’t be any fallout like there was with them. It’s sad what happened to them. I don’t know. It’s a weird thing in country music. We’re just gonna do what we do, and just hope that people can attach to it or relate to it.
It's a great read so be sure to check out the whole interview here.

Oh Kellie Pickler, I love you. Seriously, what a good gal she is.
After performing two USO shows to celebrate Memorial Day weekend, Kellie set off on her newest week-long USO tour to entertain troops overseas. This is Kellie's 5th USO tour and will have her visiting two countries in eight days and performing a total of five shows.
Kellie says about her many trips, "The USO tours I’ve been part of have definitely been the highlight of my career and my life. It has been the most impactful, life-changing thing I’ve been able to do."
The USO is so happy with Kellie's devotion, that they've set up a special Flickr page so that fans can follow along with Kellie's adventures.
For good measure, here's a pic for the boys (and a few girls too, I'm sure).

It sounds like if you have trouble sleeping AND have a song Kenny Chesney likes to perform on stage, you should probably refrain from giving him your phone number.
Kenny recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly {Quote via Contact Music} and admitted that he loves to perform Tim McGraw's 1999 hit For a Little While in concert. Well that sounds like great news until you hear the rest of his confession.
He tells the magazine, "There were many nights where I called him at two in the morning and woke the household up, and I would let the crowd sing it to him."
Yeah, you probably have to be a pretty good friend to get away with that more than once.
Tim and Kenny officially hit the road on their massive Brothers of the Sun tour Saturday, June 2, with their first stop in Tampa, Florida. Find all tour dates here.
Exciting news for all you hot country gals from yesteryear fans out there.
Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan are apparently working on an album together.
While working on my new page of country stars' Twitter and Facebook account links, I came across Lorrie Morgan's website, which has been redesigned BTW, and found on her news section a happy bit of news...that she and Pam Tillis, who are on tour together currently on the Grits & Glamour tour, are also working on a new album of duets.
Fun.
I am currently working on a new album of duets with Pam Tills, set to be released this summer! Together, we are co-writing songs for the project and selecting material from some of Nashville's hit songwriters. The album is in support of our current tour, Grits & Glamour. Each night Pam and me share the stage with our fabulous band! I am proud to say that Grits & Glamour is one of the most succesful tours of the 2011-12 season. The tour has been selling out in advance at Performing Arts Centers and Casinos across North America. I hope you have the opportunity to see me on the road and I can't wait to share the new album with you!
You can visit Lorrie's website events page for a full list of dates on the Grits & Glamour tour.

Tim McGraw has joined forces with Chase and Operation Homefront to do a really great thing for a few very lucky soldiers.
During each stop on his upcoming Brothers of the Sun tour with Kenny Chesney, Tim will give away a mortgage-free home. In all, 25 homes will be presented to veterans and their families.
“My sister’s a veteran, my uncle’s a veteran, my grandfather was a veteran, one of my best friends is a veteran,” McGraw said in an interview. “I’ve known people my whole life who are in service to America. And I think in my position to be able to do something like that is probably the ultimate thing. So to be able to go on tour and provide sort of a stable foundation for a veteran and their family is something I really look forward to.”
Tim will kick off the festivities with a Memorial Day concert in New York City for military members before heading off on his massive tour on June 2 in Tampa, Florida.
Fans can watch a live stream of the show on YouTube and it also will be available to military bases around the world via The Pentagon Channel website. Fans can watch the concert this Sunday.
