The newest music video with all kinds of interesting characters is Eric Church's new video for Creepin'. And I have some details on the main lady featured in the video. If you were interested!
From what I hear her name is Melissa Core and she’s a choreographer, dancer, and model who hails from Australia.
She also appeared in The Band Perry’s All Your Life video.
Miranda, I don't think you have anything to worry about at all.
At this weekend's iHeartRadio Music Festival, Miranda gave an interview before her performance and talked about her new NBC show she's working on that's based on her life growing up.
"It's just in the beginning stages," she said. "My family dynamic is kind of interesting. When I was first growing up, I didn't think it was, but now I look back [and realize it was]."
Then she talked about Shakira, the sexy Columbian singer who is joining 'The Voice' next season along with Usher while Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green take the season off.
Miranda hasn't met Shakira yet, but she definitely has her on her radar, telling SheKnows:
"I'm excited to meet you!" Lambert told Shakira via the SheKnows camera, since the singer had to pull out of the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival because of her recently announced pregnancy.
"I'll see when you you're sitting next to my husband [on The Voice]," she continued. "A little jealous about that because you're so sexy!"
No worries, Miranda, I'm pretty sure you could take her in a fight.
Carrie Underwood is currently out on her Blown Away tour and in Nashville this weekend she and her fans in the audience got a big surprise.....Brad Paisley.
On Brad's tour, he had a hologram of Carrie Underwood so that he could sing the pair's Remind Me duet. Carrie Underwood has a video behind her on stage that has Brad Paisley singing his part. On Sunday in Nashville, as Carrie prepared to sing her duet with the fake Brad Paisley, the real one walked out instead.
Back on September 8th, Toby Keith performed in Houston, Texas where he surprised a young lady by bringing her up on stage before singing American Soldier. Toby asked her about her husband, Major Pete Cruz, who she said was currently stationed in Afghanistan. Little did the misses know, however, that Toby had actually brought her up in front of thousands of screaming fans to do more than just sing to her.
Minutes after taking the stage, the young wife got the ultimate surprise....her husband, who walked out while her back was turned.
Prepare to shed a tear or two.
This video is absolutely awesome it wont let me embed the video but here is the link!
Rascal Flatts were honored with a Star on the famed Walk of Fame by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce during a ceremony held Monday on Hollywood Boulevard.

Gloriana has just released their latest single, "Can't Shake You," to country radio. The song, written by the trio's Tom Gossin with Stephanie Bentley and James Slater, is the follow-up to the gold-certified (Kissed You) Good Night single which recently topped the Billboard Indicator chart. Both tracks are featured on the group's second studio album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind, which was released July 31 and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Country Album chart.
"'Can't Shake You' is about not being able to shake somebody from your mind after a break-up," says Tom. "Most people have been in this situation and can relate. It has certainly become a fan favorite out on the road so we are excited to get it to radio."
Gloriana is made up of brothers Tom and Mike Gossin and Rachel Reinert. In 2010 the group took home the American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and the ACM trophy for Top New Vocal Group.

The legendary Oak Ridge Boys will be filling the holiday season with the celebrated sounds of their Christmas Time's A-Coming CD (Gaither Gospel Series). The album is set to launch on September 25th. An exclusive version of the CD is now available at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®, featuring two heartwarming bonus tracks that capture the meaning of the season. The masterful blend of new and traditional yuletide tunes is enhanced by the powerhouse group's renowned four-part harmonies. The Christmas Time's A-Coming album marks the Oaks' sixth holiday CD. In November, the Grammy-winning group will be kicking off its storied Christmas tour of more than 20 years.
"The Oak Ridge Boys love Christmas music. For us, Christmas is about family, home, singing, happiness, love, kids and gifts. But, the main thing Christmas is about is the birth of Jesus Christ; when time quit numbering backwards and started counting forward. No other man has ever walked this Earth who reversed time. So, although we love singing the fun songs, the spiritual songs about "the birth" are very real for The Oak Ridge Boys," says lead singer Duane Allen.
Gary Allan celebrated the one-year anniversary of The Label, his chic menswear store in Nashville's trendy 12 South neighborhood, with a fashionable soiree on Thursday night. Allan and Renee Layher, his fashion stylist and partner in the store, welcomed guests including the legendary costumer Manuel, rockers Adrian Belew and Jonathan Cain, and a packed house comprised of store clients, designers, family and friends.
Allan treated guests to an acoustic set which included a few of his hits and his new radio single "Every Storm Runs Out of Rain."
Eric Church on location filming music video for Creepin'
I love Eric's song Creepin' and have been keeping a sharp eye open for the debut of the music video. Unfortunately, all that's been coming through so far has been pictures from the video and a short sneak peek.
Finally today we have a release date for the video.
According to a press release (full release after the jump), fans will be able to watch the video when it's released exclusively through RollingStone.com tomorrow, Friday, September 14.
I will post the video here just as soon as it's made available.
The Queen of Country comes to the casino as Dolly Parton brings her chart-topping hits to both video slot and five-reel spinning reel games. Dolly Parton® Video Slots, along with Two Doors Down and Nine to Five Spinning Reels, feature interactive juke-box-style song selections, big bonus action and front-row concert experiences all with Dolly cheering the player along.
Dolly stated, “As you know, I love doing lots of different things and this is the most different thing that I’ve done so far. I’m very excited to be working with IGT with my very own video slot machines and five reel spinning reel games. Wanna play? Well, come on!”
I was over on YouTube looking for a video for an earlier story and I came across this video of Kellie and her friend Summer shaving their heads. This one is a bit more complete and a lot more emotional.
Last night American and Canadian country stars took over Saskatoon for the 2012 Canadian Country Music Awards.
Miranda performed twice, once by herself and then again with the Pistol Annies. Enjoy videos of Miranda, Pistol Annies, Eric Church, and Jason Aldean performing below.
We all know that surfing the web can sometimes be a time waster, but did you know it can also be dangerous? At least if you're looking up info on celebrities.
For the sixth year in a row, McAfee has compiled a list of the most dangerous celebrities to search online. These are the celebrity searches that are likely to take you to a site full of viruses, malware, and sites laden with malicious software designed to steal passwords and personal information.
Taylor Swift made the list at a respectable (in this list, it's better to be towards the bottom) #15. The #1 most dangerous search was for Harry Potter's Emma Watson.
Here's the top 10:
Emma Watson
Jessica Biel
Eva Mendes
Selena Gomez
Halle Berry
Megan Fox
Shakira
Cameron Diaz
Salma Hayek
Sofia Vergara
Surprisingly, it's not just women who are dangerous searches. The only man to make the list was Jimmy Kimmel who came in at #13.
I guess the best rule of thumb when searching the web is to be careful what sites you visit and always make sure your malware and virus protection are up-to-date.
Last July, after sending Take a Little Ride to radio stations, a note was sent out asking those radio stations to play a newer version of the song that had a lyric changed to accommodate Jason's upcoming endorsement deal with Coors.
"Jason Aldean is in the process of signing an endorsement deal with the Coors Brewing Company. With that, he has changed the "Shiner Bock" line in the song "Take A Little Ride" to "A Couple Rocky Tops". We respectfully request you exchange this version with the one you are currently playing."
That request was just a warm-up to today's expected official announcement. The Nashville Business Journal is reporting that the new partnership between Jason and Coors will officially kick off on October 16, the date Jason's new album 'Night Train' comes out.
WHO: As one of country music's best-loved artists, Craig Morgan has made a name for himself with signature hits, such as: “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “That's What I Love About Sunday” and “International Harvester,” along with his latest hit and title track to his new record, “This Ole Boy.” His new single, “More Trucks Than Cars,” is climbing the country radio charts. Morgan is also the host of the award-winning show “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors,” which is in its third season on Outdoor Channel. Prior to becoming a country music and TV sensation, Morgan spent more than a decade in the Army and an additional nine years in the Army Reserves. Hosting duties for Morgan will include color commentary from the heart of the action, competition analysis and on-field interviews.
Vince will be receiving the 2478th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of recording.
“We are proud to honor one of Country music’s most popular singers and we are so happy to say that we will be placing his star next to the star of his lovely wife Amy Grant,” stated Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez.
All fans would love to be at the ceremony but most won't be able to attend, that's why it's so cool that the Walk of Fame broadcasts their ceremonies live.
If you head over to the WOF's website, they have a video set up that will broadcast the star dedication celebration starting at 11:30 Pacific time.
This message was just posted to Eric Church's website so I thought I'd pass it along.
Please beware of scalper sites before you purchase tickets for any Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour dates. We've just been made aware of a site that is attempting to sell tickets for the Charlotte, NC show in November. As of today, tickets are NOT YET on sale for this show. That site will most likely attempt to overcharge you for tickets with no guarantee of being able to get those tickets to you.
You don't have to purchase tickets from scalpers to be screwed since tickets are always so dang expensive anymore, but the best bet in this case is to just go to Eric's website and follow the "purchase tickets" links there.
When you purchase tickets that way, when you get screwed over you'll at least know what you've purchased is legal and legit. :0)
It's now day 5687 of the Great American Idol Judge Watch 2012 -- or something like that -- and news on the street (TMZ) is that the show is running out of time to get their judging deals signed, sealed, and delivered.
According to TMZ, the show is scheduled to begin their "on-air auditions in New York City in 2 weeks, and only one judge has signed a deal."
That judge, of course, is Mariah Carey who earlier this year signed an $18 million a year deal.
Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban are still the judging front runners but so far haven't fully committed and haven't signed anything.
According to the gossip site, the Idol bosses want four judges this year because they don't think two women and one guy judging would work very well, but they haven't actually picked a fourth judge yet.
Randy Jackson will move on to being a mentor on the show, but hasn't signed a new contract.
That means all that's for sure so far is Mariah Carey and Ryan Seacrest.
With less than two weeks to go until they're supposed to start shooting for the new season, I'm thinking Idol bosses may want to level the playing field a bit and offer the other judge choices something closer to $18 million deal.
Just in time for Halloween?!? Scotty McCreery will releasE his new album 'Christmas with Scotty McCreery'.
Full press release below....
Scotty McCreery will release a new album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, on Oct. 16 that features many holiday songs that played an important role in his life, as well as two new originals that he hopes will have a place in many Christmases to come.
"Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year," he says. "And what is Christmas without music? We start listening to Christmas songs early in the McCreery household, so it felt right. I've always wanted to record a Christmas album since I've had my music career.
"It's a special thing for me," he says. "As a family, we were all really excited about making a Christmas album. Now we can add my CD to the collection we listen to."
Platinum selling artist Luke Bryan wrapped a very busy day in New
York yesterday with his first appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon where Jimmy surprised Luke after his performance with a plaque recognizing sales of seven million downloads of tracks from his
Platinum-certified album tailgates & tanlines.
Earlier in the day, Luke made an unexpected appearance on GMA to fill in for travel stranded Lady Antebellum to announce nominees for the 46th Annual CMA Awards with his buddy Jason Aldean. Luke received his first nomination in the CMA "Male Vocalist of the Year" as well as "Album of the Year" for tailgates & tanlines, produced by Jeff Stevens and Mark Bright.
I already had the short list of nominations for this year's CMA Awards that were announced this morning by Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, but then I came across this post on PR Newswire that had a more complete list and while scrolling through I noticed that Willie Nelson had garnered a Musical Event of the Year award nomination.
Then I read who else was part of his musical event for Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die -- Snoop Dogg, Kris Kristofferson, and Jamey Johnson.
Snoop Dogg?
Should definitely be a super interesting awards show this year.
Snoop Dogg recently changed his name to Snoop Lion after some life-changing Reggae moment or something, so I guess I should say Snoop Lion landed a CMA Award nomination.
You can view the more complete list of CMA Awards nominations after the jump....
I came across this interesting little Johnny Cash tidbit yesterday somewhere in my internet travels (Reddit I think) and it was news to me so I thought I would pass it on for others who may not have a clue.
Apparently it's also written about in books about Johnny Cash so it certainly won't be news to everyone.
On assignment as a Russian Army Morse code transmission decoder at the time, Johnny Cash was the first American to hear about (Joseph) Stalin's death. Many in Western Europe were apprehensive as to who the next Soviet leader would be. Following a lengthy inter-party power struggle, Nikita Khrushchev emerged as Prime Minister in 1958.
Lady Antebellum was originally scheduled to join Jason Aldean in New York this morning to announce this year's CMA Awards nominations, but apparently Mother Nature had a different idea. Last night Hillary Scott tweeted the news that the trio wouldn't be able to make it this morning.
Due to weather, we are unable to get to NYC to reveal CMA nominees w/@jason_aldean but we'll be tuned in to @gma tomorrow morning with you!
Last week it had been reported by The Country Vibe that Keith Urban had signed the papers and was joining 'American Idol' as a judge. Now TMZ has chimed in and says that Keith is in fact joining the show but hasn't quite finished crossing those T's and dotting the I's just yet
"Idol" sources tell us, the country singer is in the final negotiation stages with producers to take the third judging spot on the show -- alongside Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, who replaced Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Keith will be replacing Randy Jackson -- but he hasn't officially signed the dotted line just yet. He's still working out a few contract kinks.
He'll be receiving roughly $3-4 million for his hard work -- about half what Nicki Minaj is expected to make ... and a paltry fraction of Mariah's $18 million paycheck.
As we previously reported, there will be a 4th judge this season, but we're told no one has been picked for that spot. But here's what we do know ... "Idol" honchos want a man for the 4th spot, because they don 't think this show will work with 2 women and a man.
One of those contract kinks may have been that 'American Idol' needed to get the Randy Jackson situation taken care of first before finishing contract negotiations with Keith and Nicki Minaj. Today TMZ reports that Jackson has officially quit the show as a full-time judge but will still serve as a mentor on the show. Hopefully that means things can get rolling and we'll finally get some confirmation from the show....that Keith is the newest 'American Idol' judge.
Congrats Keith Urban! But make sure you get your money!
After she and drummer Chris Tyrell married, I guess Hillary decided it was time to move into a house that better showcased her married, very successful, celebrity, adult side.
According to The Realestalker, Hillary sold (or is selling) her 3,435 square foot, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home in Nashville for nearly $775,000 and turned right around and purchased a much more celebrity-friendly 7,604 square foot, 6 bedroom, 8 bath "southern, neo-Colonial Revival style residence on 3.38 acres in the upscale Brentwood area."
Definitely a beautiful home. Check out the pictures below (courtesy The Realestalker).
I don't think I've ever seen so much confusion about one song.
Last month, Carrie Underwood's duet with Aerosmith on their upcoming album was officially confirmed. We didn't know which song it was, so the world sort of guessed based on the album's track list. Then came word from the band's bass player, Tom Hamilton, during an interview that the song Carrie is on was called Beautiful.
We took his word for it.
There also is a decidedly country song, “Beautiful,” that Hamilton helped write and which features country superstar Carrie Underwood.
“I mean, we didn’t really sit down and say, ‘Let’s write something that sounds country,’ but it did come out, you know?” he says. “And it’s just a reflection of the fact that everybody in the band loves country music, so it’s going to be an influence at some point.”
End of story?
Wrong.
Aerosmith's website now has a write up about their album, basically a press release, that says Carrie and Steven Tyler's duet is called Can't Stop Loving You:
MUSIC FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION presents AEROSMITH in ferociously fine form and at the peak of their powers. They’re the only band of their stature with all-original members and who are playing better than ever have before. The album abounds with one highlight after another, including “Out Go The Lights,” “Oh Yeah,” “Luv XXX,” “We All Fall Down,” “Street Jesus” and “Can’t Stop Loving You,” on which Tyler duets with Carrie Underwood. The album also includes “Freedom Fighter” which features Johnny Depp on backing vocals. See the full track listing below.
If you visit Amazon.com, it also lists Can't Stop Loving You as featuring Carrie Underwood.
So who got it wrong? Was it the band's bass player who originally talked about the song or did the interviewer misquote him on which song featured Carrie? The funny thing about this is that the bass player was a cowriter on the song so you would think if anyone would know, it would be him. Maybe the press release and Amazon.com have gotten it wrong and it's still Beautiful and not Can't Stop Loving You that features Carrie.
Or maybe this all was a sneaky ploy to keep us country bloggers talking about the album long after we normally would have stopped. Mission accomplished if that's the case. Good job!
So far there aren't any clips of either song floating around so I guess we'll have to wait until the album comes out November 6th to actually figure it out.
Jamey Johnson is set to release a tribute to his idol, Hank Cochran, October 16, and now we have the album artwork for 'Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran'.
Fans can preorder the album on Jamey's website here.
